Our
dress Thanks to a careful research of the late Prof. Amédé Berthod, the Gaie Famille could create its exclusive typical costumes.
The members wear real rural feast day customes from the first years of the XX century.
The women costumes have rather dark colours, (bordeaux, brown and blue), a tight corset, a wide skirt, a matched apron, two shawls (one about the shoulders and the other round the waistline), a woolen cape for the winter. The costume is simple and adorned by fine edges, since the lack of money was a problem in the past rural society.
The men wear a simple costume as well: white shirt and the inseparable waistcoat, black trousers and a jacket for the winter. A string tie gives a touch of elegant refinement.
