Some
history
In La Salle, a mountain village rich in culture and tradition, a
folkloric group called Les Sallereins
was formed in 1968. Its aim was to maintain and to spread the villages
old traditions which the people of La Salle are proud of.
The most important one is the Badoche the traditional feast with
dances that are the inspiration for the group.
During the events the Sallereins will demonstrate their whole Repertoire,
consisting of nine dances accompanied by the joyful music of the
accordeon.
The group, including children within the ages of 5 and 10 (les Petits
Sallereins) dance
and play in enjoyable shows in Aosta Valley as well as all over
Italy and abroad, spreading proudly the name of La Salle.
The costumes are reproduced from local antique prints dating back
in 1800.
